Tarek holds an MSc. in Information Security and is an international trainer who teaches at Black Hat, HITB, and other major conferences. He is also the technical advisor for GISEC, the largest security conference in the Middle East, and is a previous OWASP Dubai Chapter Leader. With over 20 years of experience, Tarek started his career as a penetration tester in the UK where he worked with companies like BBC, Sky, Heinz, Ericsson, and BT. Following that he relocated to Dubai as a senior penetration tester for Verizon. He then transitioned to a lead security architect role at MBC where he led high-end and complex projects. His last role was SME at Qualys, following which he left corporate life to focus on building AstraSec.io and HackersAcademy.com.

Iman holds a PhD in Computer Science and an MSc in Artificial Intelligence, both from the University of Southampton. Following her doctoral studies, she worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Aberdeen researching AI accountability, auditing, transparency, and trustworthiness. Subsequently, Iman worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Open University, where she contributed to projects focused on digital health and AI in education. She has also worked at the University of Glasgow, where her research focused on participatory auditing of generative AI technologies within the cultural heritage sector.

Tim has over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity, is ex-Microsoft, and brings deep expertise across Microsoft technologies. Having worked in enterprise sectors such as government and banking, he has seen large-scale environments and the challenges they face in both the cloud and on-prem. His specialization is securing and hardening Entra and Active Directory. By performing over 50 assessments, he has seen the common pitfalls and how clients can best navigate them.
